Forest bathing, or "Shinrin-yoku," is a Japanese practice that involves immersing oneself in a forest environment to enhance well-being. It encourages individuals to engage with nature using all their senses—sight, sound, smell, touch, and even taste.
The practice helps reduce stress, improve mood, boost immunity, and enhance overall mental and physical health. It encourages a deep sense of connection to the natural world, promoting mindfulness and relaxation.
What to Expect:
Welcome & Brief Introductions
Guided Body Scan Meditation
Silent Forest Walk (1 mile)
Pauses for Natures Teachings
Sharing Circle
Building Community
We’ll begin by setting our intentions and introducing ourselves, followed by a guided meditation to connect with nature and awaken our senses. This will help us relax our minds and release the day’s events before we start our journey together. Next, we’ll take a slow, intentional walk through the forest (approximately 1 mile), letting our intuition guide us along the way. We will have guided pauses, centered around the elements presented along the way. Finally, we’ll conclude with a sharing session, offering a chance to learn from each other’s experiences and share our own.
